Showtime Boxing / CBS Sports Presents: Pacquiao vs Mosley

For three years now, the number one pound for pound boxer in the world Manny Pacquiao has proven himself to be a big box-office draw with his last five fights on HBO Pay-Per-View averaging over 1 million PPV buys making him along with rival Floyd Mayweather Jr., the biggest attraction in the sport.

Due to Top Rank promoter Bob Arum’s desire to return the sport of boxing to network television before he retires, Pacquiao’s superfight with Shane Mosley this May 7, 2011 at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA will be on Showtime Pay-Per-View.

For Showtime, a division of CBS Corporation, it will be the first time for the network to promote a pay-per-view boxing event since the Diego Corrales-Jose Luis Castillo II bout  in 2005. Arum hopes that by putting many of the promotional materials for the fight on CBS, an audience of 115 million television households will hear about it.

As part of the promotion for this pay-per-view boxing event, Showtime and CBS had prepared a TV special that focuses on each fighter’s training and preparation for the bout as well as a glimpse of their personal lives: the Fight Camp 360 four-part series.
