Shane Mosley is trying to win the hearts of Filipino fans.
In his twitter account, Shane Mosley posted on April 10:
“Sending love and respect to the people of the Philippines.”
The next day, he tweeted the same message but this time, in the Tagalog dialect:
“pagpapadala ibig at paggalang sa mga tao ng mga Philippines“
He also added:
“i tumingin forward sa magandang malinis na laban. ako excited.“
Yes, the message is not perfectly translated as he might have just used an online translator. However, his humility to reach out to his foe’s fans endeared him to the heart of many as just moments later, he was bombarded with many tweets of appreciation as he replied:
“Fillipino tao ibinigay sa akin ng lot’s of love ngayon. salamat“
“Filipino people gave me lot’s of love today. As well as all the media. Thank you“
