It was originally announced last June by Top Rank CEO Bob Arum that the world press tour to promote the November 12 trilogy fight between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez will start in late August. It will involve seven cities in eight countries which includes stops in Manila, Tokyo, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, London, New York, Los Angeles, and Mexico City.
However, considering that such whirlwind tour will take a toll on the fighters and that Pacquiao “has more important businesses to attend to” besides his desire to have eight full weeks of training with four weeks in the Philippines and the second four weeks at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles, Arum now decided to just trim the world tour to just four cities.
They are at the fighter’s home bases – Manila and Mexico City and in the United States’ two biggest markets - New York and Los Angeles. Logical choices of course.

August 31 – Juan Manuel Marquez’ arrival in the Philippines
September 2 (OPEN TO THE PUBLIC) – (2:30 PM) kickoff rally at the Quirino Grandstand, Manila

Pacquiao vs Marquez III will be held on November 12, 2011, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two fighters previously fought twice – first in 2004 which was declared a draw and in 2008 which was won by Pacquiao via split decision.
At stake is Pacquiao’s WBO welterweight title where he is an 8-1 favorite to retain it.
