It seems Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is not caught up in the Linsanity craze.
On Monday, the undefeated boxer took a swipe at the New York Knicks’ point guard Jeremy Lin posting at his twitter account,

Jeremy Lin is a good player but all the hype is because he’s Asian. Black players do what he does every night and don’t get the same praise. [LINK]
Lin has caught up the sports world by surprise with a fantasy week leading his Knicks team to its fifth consecutive game while averaging 26.8 points and 8 assists. He was named as the NBA’s Player of the Week for February 6-12. [Check out his amazing week]
However, what added to his hype is that, he was an undrafted player who played for Harvard University and was almost cut off by the Knicks before he was given big minutes in a breakout game against the New Jersey Nets on February 4, 2012. In that game, he came off the bench to score 25 points (nearly doubling his previous career high), and provided 7 assists and 5 rebounds as his team win 99-92.
And yes, he is the first American player in the NBA to be of Chinese or of Taiwanese descent.
Mayweather has been also criticized in the past for his profanity-filled racist and homophobic rant against rival Manny Pacquiao – who is a Filipino. [WATCH VIDEO]
Mayweather is set to fight Miguel Cotto on May 5, 2012 and many thinks, this is another publicity stunt for the boxer to draw attention and sell pay-per-view tickets.
